Our Mission
DAWE ESTATES is stewarded as a private Appalachian legacy landscape devoted to land continuity, wildlife corridors, pollinator habitat, and heritage craft traditions. The sanctuary serves as an enduring landscape of conservation, from which creative endeavors naturally emerge.
Our sanctuary exists to protect biodiversity, cultivate beauty, and sustain a slower, more intentional way of creating , rooted in reverence for land, lineage, and living systems.
Founding Steward
DAWE ESTATES was established under the stewardship of Sofia Christine Rallis-Dawe, whose lifelong devotion to the natural world has shaped the estate's vision of conservation, beauty, and thoughtful land stewardship.
Raised in a homesteading tradition among organic gardens, native plant communities, and the medicinal forests of Maine, she inherited a deep respect for botanical knowledge, ecological relationships, and enduring craftsmanship.
Today, those influences continue to guide the care of DAWE ESTATES, where conservation, craftsmanship, and thoughtful stewardship remain at the heart of the estate.
