Dawe Estates is a private sanctuary property devoted to land stewardship, wildlife corridors,
pollinator habitats, and heritage craft traditions. It serves as the living foundation behind
Alethea Botanicals™ and Alethea Atelier™, where nature, artistry, and preservation meet.
Our estate exists to protect biodiversity, cultivate beauty, and steward a slower, more intentional
way of creating — rooted in reverence for land and legacy.
Founding Steward
Dawe Estates was founded by Sofia Christina Dawe, a second-generation master herbalist and aromatherapist devoted to preserving heritage landscapes, ancestral botanical traditions, and sanctuary-based creation.
Raised within a homesteading life of organic gardens and landscapes rich with native plants and medicinal herbs, woven into the deep forested beauty of Maine, Sofia grew up in close relationship with nature.
Her early years unfolded through both intimate stewardship and decades of direct entrepreneurial engagement with clients, collectors, and coastal markets across the region.
This blending of wild-rooted living and refined public exchange continues to shape her work, uniting traditional herbal preparation, fine botanical artistry, and thoughtful stewardship into a living estate dedicated to beauty, biodiversity, and legacy.
